Scotland, Easter 2003

Friday 11th April - We started with a leisurely journey up to Glasgow, travelling first class on Virgin. After having heard a lot of bad reports about the service, we were pleasantly surprised to have a relaxing and restful journey. |

| The buildings of the University of Glasgow were very impressive. | The Clyde Auditorium, known as the Armadillo. It reminded us of the Opera House in Sydney. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| Despite a lot of restoration work on the buildings in Glasgow, there is still more to be done. We saw lots of buildings like this, where the original facades were being propped up with scaffolding while the new buildings were being developed inside. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Monday 14th April - We took the West Highland Line train from Glasgow to Mallaig via Fort William, then hopped on the ferry crossing from Mallaig to Armadale, Isle of Skye. Finally, a quick taxi journey along the coast to Ardvasar. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
